With the New England Highway bypass completed, Scone Council’s major revitalisation plan for developing the largest town in the Upper Hunter Valley’s tourism industry and community growth has gone full steam ahead.

After the success of the Warbirds over Scone aviation show in 2018, a dedicated aircraft museum – the Warbird Aviation Attraction – will be built at Scone Regional Airport. As the only airport in the Upper Hunter Valley region facilitating medical services, fire fighting, aviation training and education in addition to commercial operations, Scone has also received approval for a new airport terminal.

Supporting the region’s international cattle industry and horse stud sales, Scone’s Livestock Selling Centre has had several upgrades. Focused on improving animal welfare, work health and safety the upgrades bring online auctioning capabilities to the saleyards.

Scone and its surrounds support over 70 horse breeding studs, and is home to Australia’s largest country racing carnival – The Scone Cup. Linden and his team transformed our house by washing it down, preparing and undercoating the brickwork, applying a 'bagging' finish, painting the aluminum windows and all trims and details such as guttering, verandah posts and lattice.
